Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions relate to group and private photography tours and workshops run by Remarkable Imagery Photography Tours (RIPT).

Pricing

All pricing on this website is current to 15 May, 2026.

Deposits, Balance of fees, and Cancellation policy

Please check availability by going to our bookings page – https://www.remarkableimagery.co.nz/collections/queenstown-photography-tours and clicking on the half-day or full-day tour button. This is also where you can complete your booking and pay with your credit card or by email.

Your registration is guaranteed only when we have paid for the tour.

Registrations are allocated on a first come first served basis. If we cancel the workshop you will receive a full refund of your booking fees. Tour itineraries may be subject to change due to weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances related to the normal vagaries of travel and outdoor photography.

Cancellations must be in writing or by email.
If you cancel:

More than 14 days
before the workshop starts, we will refund any money you have paid to us for the workshop.

Less than 14 days
before the workshop starts, we will refund up to 70% of your booking fee.

Less than 48 hours
before the workshop starts there will be no refund of fee.

Occasionally we are forced to cancel or reschedule a tour due to unsafe conditions or other unusual circumstances. If that happens a full refund will be given.

All refunds provided are less any transaction fees imposed by the selected payment provider.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is the responsibility of the participant. To cover unforeseen circumstances it is recommended for people flying in from out of town for the workshop. Camera and equipment insurance is the responsibility of the individual photographer.

Camera experience level required

A modest level of photographic experience would be advisable to get the most out of the tuition. Familiarising yourself with the basic camera operations would be strongly advised. Please bring camera manuals in case we need to make adjustments to your camera settings.

Not included in the tours/workshops

Coffee, tea, bottled water, and cookies are supplied on our tours. On full-day tours, we have the option of stopping at a village cafe or food outlet for lunch. Lunch will be at your own expense.

Minimum numbers

Some tours/workshops are based on a minimum number of participants booking. This may vary from workshop to workshop. Your tour will not be confirmed or charged until we have the minimum number of participants required for the tour.

What else do you need to know?

There may be some moderately energetic walking involved to get to certain locations, so please consider this related to your physical abilities. If you have any other medical conditions that might affect your enjoyment of the workshop please let us know.

Please bring clothing suited to the weather conditions. Tours in starting in the morning, particularly from April to October can be chilly. Other things to remember: sturdy footwear, hat, sunscreen and camera of course!

Liability Limitation Statement

Remarkable Imagery Photography Tours aims to provide every participant with a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience during our tours/workshops. As there is always an element of risk associated with the outdoors and travel in general, we accept no responsibility/liability for injury, death, illness, losses, or additional expenses associated with workshop participation. Of course, naturally, we are still subject to all New Zealand laws.

Privacy Statement

The information provided by participants will not be released to any other parties. Other questions? If you have any questions about the workshops please email us.
